Chose n'est pas coutume, le Jury de l'EISA a récompensé cette année une série d'accessoires Hifi. Rassurez-vous, il ne s'agit pas de câbles ou grigris audiophiles, mais de meubles modulaires de conception pragmatique et très soignée, proposés à des tarifs raisonnables et décents.
La série Blok Stax 2G, élaborée par les ingénieurs de Monitor Audio, se compose d'étagères à empiler les unes sur les autres. Elle se décline en cinq éléments : un module de base (doté de pointes de couplage avec le sol réglables en hauteur) et de 4 modules de respectivement 12, 17, 22 ou 35 cm (pour pouvoir ranger des disques vinyles) de hauteur utile. Chaque module/étagère supporte jusqu'à 40 kg de charge. Il est constitué d'une tablette en verre de 10 mm ou en bois multiplis de 12,65 mm et de deux larges montants latéraux en bois creux qu'il est possible de remplir de matériau inerte (sable, gravillons...) pour les lester. En dessous, de chaque montant, afin d'assurer le découplage entre les étagères, se trouve un grand patin en silicone d'une densité spécialement étudiée.
Les modules sont disponibles en trois finitions : montant blanc satin/tablette en bois naturel, montant noir laqué/tablette en verre fumé, montant en bois foncé/tablette en bois noir. Il est possible de les acquérir séparément au bien sous forme de pack de plusieurs modules. Les tarifs sont les suivants :

Acoustic Innovation
Acoustic supports
Stax 2G features cleverly concealed rubber bungs within in the supports that carry the weight of the shelves and the equipment that sits on them. These small, flush-fitting bungs can be removed to allow the supports to be mass-loaded with inert acoustic material, allowing the supports to become heavier, for greater structural rigidity of the entire unit, while also greatly reducing the vibration and resonances that might occur within a serious high-fidelity music system.
Isolation pads
Silicon isolation pads are integrated between each shelf and into the base of the support structure. These carefully selected pads ensure that shelf absorption works at its most optimum, reducing resonances and vibration being carried through the shelves, so that all you’ll hear is the high-fidelity sound of your system components.
Adjustable foot design
Stax 2G utilises a bespoke foot design that facilitates quick and easy height adjustment. It also allows users to select spikes or rubber feet, depending on the surface upon which it is placed. The intuitive foot design ensures that Stax 2G can be levelled exactly, delivering a perfectly flat base for the high-fidelity equipment placed on it.
Design
Designed and engineered at our headquarters in Rayleigh, Essex, UK, Stax 2G reinvigorates the modernist appeal of Stax in a manner that’s completely sympathetic to the original, iconic design.
Stax 2G’s unique visual identity is enhanced with the introduction of three contemporary finishes: black glass with high-gloss black supports, natural ash plywood with satin white supports and a subtle black ash plywood with natural walnut supports.
Each of the shelves has been chosen for their load strength and inherently positive acoustic properties, along with their physical design aesthetics – so that whatever electronics or source equipment is placed on them, they’ll remain completely rigid.
