Le constructeur écossais Linn, spécialiste de la Hifi haut de gamme et High End, vient d'annoncer deux nouvelles enceintes Hifi. Le modèle compact (ou de bibliothèque) Linn 119 et la colonne Linn 150 remplacent respectivement la Majik 109 et la Majik 140 qui étaient au catalogue depuis de très nombreuses années. On remarque qu'au passage les tarifs sont presque doublés.
La Linn 119 est une deux voies, équipée d'un tweeter à dôme Sonomex de 19,55 mm et d'un boomer de 16 cm à membrane en papier enduit de Nextel. Son prix TTC est de 3000 € la paire.
La Linn 150 ajoute un boomer de 19 cm à membrane en papier enduit de Nextel. Elle est positionnée à 6600 € TTC la paire.
Ces deux enceintes sont conçues pour fonctionner avec le Linn Selekt DSM:Classic Hub. Celui-ci est un appareil streamer évolutif qui peut accueillir une ou plusieurs cartes de puissance stéréo ainsi que différents modules de conversion et de filtrage. Il est en mesure d'alimenter les enceintes Linn 119 et 150 en simple amplification passive ou en multiamplification active à deux ou trois voies par enceinte. Comptez de 11 000 € à plus de 20 000 € TTC pour un système complet.

Linn today announces the global launch of two all-new passive loudspeaker models – 119 and 150 – alongside a newly refined Selekt DSM: Classic Hub for 2024.
119 & 150 – Energetic. Refined. Fun.
119 is a modern, high-performance and compact loudspeaker; 150 is its larger, floor-standing sibling. Both all-new speaker models are energetic, conspicuously refined – and loads of fun!
Linn has a long history of designing and manufacturing compact loudspeakers with excellent performance that belies their size. 119 and 150 reflect this pedigree, with a new performance benchmark and the addition of peerless versatility when it comes to building a system.
With 119 and 150, the goal was to create fundamentally entertaining loudspeakers, but with refinement, sophistication and neutrality, so that they would play any source material equally well – and equally enjoyably.
They are fitted with premium drive units, delivering excellent linear performance and excursion capability. Drawing from what Linn learned during development of their flagship 360 loudspeakers, drive units are mounted at the very front of the baffle, with no grille, to minimise occlusion and improve excursion.
Component quality is high throughout. The lower-order crossovers in 119 and 150 are designed for signal purity and, as a result, lend the speakers speed and dynamism.
Features
119 and 150 are currently available in Satin Black, White, Walnut, or Oak veneered finish.
Inspired by their flagship 360 speaker is a magnet-mounted trim piece, featuring fine concentric grooves redolent of the surface of a vinyl record and an electro-formed Linn logo which serves as a tweeter guard.
Optional black or silver, mild-steel pedestal stands are available for mounting 119 speakers.
119 is rear-ported for enhanced bass performance. When paired with a Linn DSM network music player, this port can be bypassed, and a bass augmentation filter digitally applied to the speaker for even faster, tighter bass.
150 features downwards-firing ports for a more omnidirectional bass performance and to minimise interaction with walls.
Exakt Conversion
With 119 and 150 having 2- and 3-way designs respectively, it is now easier and more attainable than ever to upgrade to the extraordinary performance of Linn’s proprietary Exakt technology.
Both speaker models can be converted to Exakt configuration in a matter of minutes, whilst all requisite amplification, DACs and Exakt digital crossover can be installed within a Linn Selekt DSM.

New Features
Selekt DSM: Classic Hub features an integrated headphone amp with 1/4” jack output, to bring welcome versatility for personal listening sessions at home. Classic Hub also has RCA outputs dedicated to providing bass reinforcement to a subwoofer.
New Design
Selekt DSM: Classic Hub is a highly desirable product to behold and interact with. Smart buttons are steel, a large-format display extends along the front fascia, its feet are stainless-steel, and the Linn logo is UV-printed on the chassis sleeve for a sharp finish.
The chassis itself is a rigid design; with clean edges and chamfered transitions resulting in an elegant and luxurious appearance.
Selekt DSM: Classic Hub is available in either a subtly textured black or flat silver finish. The effect of its ultra-consistent powder-paint coat is enhanced by an array of stainless-steel smart buttons and an eye-catching central control dial – with hidden LEDs that shine through with a silken glow to indicate volume.
